PGN Organizes Free Mudik Program, Sends 1,020 Participants Home for Idul Fitri 1445 H
Jakarta – In celebration of Idul Fitri 1445 H, PT PGN Tbk, as the Subholding Gas Pertamina, has once again organized a free mudik program. This year, a total of 1,020 participants were sent to West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java.
Titled "Mudik Asyik Bersama PGN 2024," PGN dispatched 21 buses from Wisma Aldiron, one bus from Monas in collaboration with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), and three buses from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).
The participants of this program included a mix of active employees within the Subholding Gas and their families, along with members of the general public.
PGN's Director of Finance and Risk Management, Fadjar Harianto Widodo, stated that PGN regularly organizes the free mudik program to give back to the community, which has been supportive of the company's operations. As part of a state-owned enterprise, this initiative is one of PGN's ways to contribute to society.
“This mudik program is a source of pride for PGN as we help the community return to their hometowns. We hope this provides blessings for the participants as they reunite with their parents and families,” said Fadjar during the ceremonial departure at Wisma Aldiron Pancoran, Jakarta, on April 5, 2024.
PGN hopes the program will ease the cost of mudik for the public and offer a safe travel option. Prior to departure, all bus drivers and crew underwent health checks and were deemed fit for travel. The crews were instructed to maintain the vehicles and their physical condition during the journey, ensuring safety until the final destination. A coordinator was assigned to each bus to accompany the travelers and ensure no belongings or family members were left behind.
“PGN requests support and prayers so that the company continues to grow, enabling us to continue organizing mudik together,” Fadjar concluded.
In addition to ensuring a comfortable journey home for the participants, PGN also ensured the smooth and safe distribution of natural gas during the Lebaran holidays. The Ramadhan and Idul Fitri 2024 Task Force (Satgas RAFI 2024) will be on duty until April 21, 2024, remaining on standby 24/7 to maintain gas reliability across 73 cities and districts. In case of any issues or incidents related to PGN's natural gas supply, the public can contact the Call Center at 135 or the nearest PGN Area Office.
