PGN Recieve 4,651 BBTU of Gas Supply from Jabung Block, Ensuring Domestic Needs
Jakarta – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN)
has secured an additional gas supply of 4,651 BBTU from PetroChina International Jabung Ltd (PCJL) from the Jabung Block. This additional supply is intended to meet the needs of industrial and power generation customers, in accordance with the allocation set by the government.
The gas delivery point from the Jabung Block is located at Betara Gas Plant, Jambi. The utilization of this gas allocation reflects a shared commitment between PGN, PetroChina, and the government through SKK Migas to secure domestic energy needs. SKK Migas has also provided its support to ensure that the gas supply allocation is optimally utilized.
The Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (PJBG) for the period January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026, was signed by PGN Commercial Director Ratih Esti Prihatini and PCJL President Director Wang Lei on Friday, January 10, 2025.
"The additional gas supply from the Jabung Block is essential for PGN amid the current pipeline gas supply challenges. PGN is also actively seeking other gas supply sources to ensure energy security and support industrial sustainability, which is a key driver of Indonesia’s economic growth," said Ratih Esti Prihatini (January 10, 2025).
"We are committed to providing a stable gas supply to various regions in Indonesia. Previously, PetroChina and PGN collaborated on gas distribution for households (Jargas). We hope this partnership will continue to bring benefits to all parties involved," said Wang Lei.
