PGN Group Wins 13 Awards at the 2024 Asian Impact Awards in Malaysia for Outstanding CSR Programs

Selangor, Malaysia – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), as the Gas Subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero), has demonstrated its commitment to implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs that reflect ESG – Environmental, Social, and Governance principles, by evaluating the impact of its CSR programs based on the criteria set by the 2024 Asian Impact Awards.

Thanks to these achievements, PGN received 4 Platinum CSR Leading Impact Awards, which is the highest award at the 2024 Asian Impact Awards, as well as 3 CSR Leader Impact Awards.

On the same occasion, PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of PGN, also received 4 Platinum CSR Leading Impact Awards and 2 CSR Leader Impact Awards.

Currently, companies are required to have an impact on ESG, and with the Asian Impact Awards, this encourages companies to assess their impact on the environment, society, and business governance. This motivates Subholding Gas to continue developing CSR programs that positively impact the environment, society, and governance," said Fajriyah Usman, PGN’s Corporate Secretary, in her statement in Jakarta (September 22, 2024).

The event was held by La Tofi School of Social Responsibility (LSSR) and PORTMAN College (Malaysia) on September 18-19, 2024, in Selangor, Malaysia. The goal is to help companies enhance their business governance quality and social and environmental initiatives, so that they have a positive impact on the community.

The evaluation criteria for the 2024 Asian Impact Awards were based on: (1) Commitment to Society; (2) Social/Environmental/Corporate Governance Programs; (3) Program Impact and Achievements; and (4) Beneficiary Stories.

The PGN company units that implemented CSR programs and received the Platinum CSR Leading Impact Awards were:

MAS TANI TAMPAN (Mandiri Siaga Petani Tangguh dan Mapan) - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (Pagardewa Station)
HARUM MANIS (Harjamukti Unggul Masyarakat Optimis) - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (Cimanggis Offtake Station)
Pemberdayaan Kelompok Perempuan Kreatif Mandiri (KPKM) Tembesi - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (Panaran Offtake Station)
HERBAMAN (Herbal Mandiri Asman) - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. – Sales and Operations Region III

Fajriyah continued, stating that with these achievements, Subholding Gas will remain committed to implementing ESG principles, which will always benefit society through its CSR programs and increase public trust in Subholding Gas Pertamina.
