Intensifying Natural Gas Marketing Collaboration, PGN Wins BUMN Branding & Marketing Award 2024
Jakarta – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) continues to optimize the distribution of the company's products, namely GasKita or known as the Gas Network (Jargas). As a Subholding Gas Pertamina, PGN implements this commitment by prioritizing the spirit of collaboration with stakeholders, the private sector, and BUMN partners themselves. In maximizing the distribution of natural gas, PGN also relies on technology and digital transformation to ensure the sustainability of the industry to date.
Gaskita is PGN's strategic project which is implemented using independent investment by PGN. Since its development in 2021, the development of GasKita has also used an off-pipe construction scheme, namely CNG in South Central Java (Yogyakarta, Sleman, Solo). PGN has the capacity to build and manage jargas so that GasKita will continue to be massive in various regions.
"PGN currently has a strategic role in supporting the Indonesian economy, especially in making the energy self-sufficiency program a success. One of PGN's efforts is through massive development accompanied by strengthening the natural gas brand such as GasKita. "Hopefully, through the management and optimization of this brand, the public will become more familiar with GasKita products to support the distribution of natural gas in the country," said Fajriyah Usman as PGN's Corporate Secretary.
PGN actively conveys information about GasKita through mass media and social media. The information conveyed varies, ranging from the benefits of using natural gas, security, how to subscribe, staying aesthetic using GasKita, to the positive impact of utilizing gas networks for Indonesia. To reach target potential customers, PGN also implements targeted social media ads that have been viewed by 11.4 million people and have generated 61,000 clicks to the registration website. PGN also held a Bedah Dapur GasKita promotion, Brand Activation on Transjakarta Buses & KRL, outdoor media and attracted a number of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL).
Fajriyah continued, as one of the BUMN companies, PGN continues to strive not only to be a state-owned company. But also to be part of the backbone of the nation's economy and national energy independence amidst global challenges. PGN must be more adaptive and innovative in both performance and the products it creates. So in the current digitalization era, it is both an opportunity and a challenge for PGN to accelerate the strategic GasKita project.
For its positive efforts and performance in building a global natural gas product marketing strategy and continuing to create a collaborative industrial environment, PGN has successfully won 2 BUMN Branding & Marketing Awards 2024 for the 12th year on Thursday (11/14/2024). The awards won include Global Branding and Marketing Strategy (Gold) and Collaborations Between BUMN Personnel and Technology (Platinum). This award ceremony is a form of appreciation for all BUMN companies for the initiatives and innovations created, especially in creating product branding and marketing strategies, one of which is PGN.
"Regarding technology, especially digital, there is almost no industry that is not disrupted by digital. All of this can happen because of technology, because there is no other choice but for us to carry out technological transformation. Therefore, we must always think not far-sighted, always compare ourselves with other countries, so that our goal as world champions in branding and marketing can be achieved," added Arief Yahya as Minister of Tourism 2014-2019 & Honorary Jury of the Branding & Marketing Award 2024.
"The award won by PGN is not only proof of our commitment to intensifying the marketing of natural gas brands and encouraging collaboration, but also a motivation to create innovations and strategies for sustainable natural gas distribution. I also express my appreciation to all PGN Officers who have contributed to optimizing the branding and marketing of natural gas as a whole," concluded Fajriyah.
